"I paint almost exclusively in oils. Surfaces I use include hardboard, canvas, and linen mounted on hardboard. My style is traditional and representational, however my landscapes often
offer a contemporary view of the land. Rich color and bold brush strokes are important to me. Techniques with the pallet knife give my paintings an interesting, signature texture which brings life and character to
the painting." M W
Matt Warren received an Art Departmental Scholarship to the University of Utah, awarded to only one artist per year. He also received the Draper Arts Foundation Scholarship .He has
exhibited in a number of shows including; the Deseret News Landscape Art Show, Springville Spiritual and Religious Art Show, the prestigious LDS Church Religious Art show at the LDS Museum.
